College Discipline (Student Code of Conduct)

All students are advised to read these rules carefully and abide by these rules as envisaged in prospectus, college notification, instructions issued by the Principal or on his behalf by the teaching staff, class proctors or class seniors (appointed by the college administration). They include general rules (instructions, orders, rules/regulations, ethics & moral code), college dress codes, attendance rules, politics involvement rules, examination and miscellaneous rules. Violation of these rules tantamount to a serious breach of college discipline will be investigated by senior members of the staff (Head of the Department). If it is of serious nature it will be forwarded to the College Disciplinary Committee / Academic Council for further investigation and the recommendations will be forwarded to the Principal for further necessary action.

College Disciplinary Committee

The College Disciplinary Committee keeps effective watch over maintenance of discipline and code of conduct. A team of Chief Proctor, deputy proctor and faculty proctors vigilantly, will assist the committee. In addition those matters of serious or persistent indiscipline are routinely referred to the Principal for appropriate and necessary action. In case of any indiscipline matter, the decision taken by the Principal will be final and can not be challenged.

General Rules

  • The students must display their identification tags while on the college premises.
  • All students are to be quite in college premises. Students are forbidden to sing, whistle, hoot, create noise, use abusive language, fight, and indulge in any unseemly behavior or activity in the college premises at any time.
  • No student is allowed to loiter and move aimlessly in and around college premises or while-away his/her time in college canteen/cafeteria or market place.
  • Punctuality to class timings and proper discipline in the classrooms, practical, demonstrations and tutorials will be of highest order.
  • Students have to be present in time at any specified activity of the college.
  • Absentees’ will be conveyed to their parents/guardians.
  • All damages in any form caused by the students due to their negligence or deliberate act shall be repaired at the expense of the student / students responsible for the negligence e.g. walls, fixtures, models, specimens, charts; etc should not be tempered, defaced, mutilated or damaged in any way or form.
  • Student’s notices/messages will only be displayed on the notice board placed by the college authorities.
  • It is the duty of each student to maintain highest degree of cleanliness of college premises and the hostels including toilets and kitchens like defacing walls, orders on notice boards, fixtures, furniture & use of electronic appliances is strictly prohibited.

Attendance Rules

For leave or absence, the students must apply in writing and state the reasons for his/her request.

  • Repeated absences from the lectures, classes, seminars, demonstrations and from hospital ward will make a student liable to be expelled from the college.
  • To be eligible to appear in the professional examination, every student is required to attain at least 75% attendance at lectures, practical and clinics.
  • In theory the margin of 25% of absence from lectures, practical classes and demonstrations is intended to cover those absences, which result on account of sickness or special emergencies in families.
  • A written application should be sent to the Principal by the student or their parents in this regard.


Political activities of all types are prohibited in the college and hostel premises. Undertaking to that effect will be obtained from the students and their parents.
No gathering or meeting of students will be allowed in the premises of college or hostels.
No student should address any conference including press conference, nor write to the press on a political or related subject on matter concerned directly with the administration of the college or any government or educational institution, university in Pakistan or abroad.
No religious ceremony likely to injure the feelings of other boarders shall be performed in the hostel.
Any student who wishes to make a representation on any subject has the right to directly access the Principal at any time during college hours by prior appointment if he / she is not been satisfied on consultation with the Chief Proctor and Vice Principal.


  • Text books, notes and cellular phones are not allowed in the examination hall.
  • Any student coming 10 minutes after the start of the paper will not be allowed to take examination.


  • Smoking, use of liquor or any allied substances is strictly prohibited in college/hostel and hospital premises.
  • Students are not allowed to keep / carry weapons in the college, hostel or hospital.
  • Indoor / outdoor games are prohibited during college and hospital duty hours.
  • Students are not allowed to use cellular phones during lecture and laboratory work.
  • All cases of sickness must be reported to the authorities.
  • Every student shall be in his/her room by 09:30 p.m. in the summer and 08:00 p.m. in the winter except those who are on official duty in hospital. These timings are subject to change if so required by the administration.
  • Boarders are prohibited from leaving the hostel after 09:30 p.m. in summer and 08:00 p.m. in the winter. Any boarder, who wishes to stay out after this time, shall take prior permission from the warden. Late comers in the hostel will first report to the warden of their hostel before proceeding to their rooms. In case of any other student/individual is staying in the hostel without permission of the college authorities, warden shall be notified at once for necessary action.
  • In hostels, students must keep their rooms neat, clean and tidy. The bed should be properly arranged with beddings. Dirty clothes should be stored separately and removed at once.
  • College is not responsible for loss of any property, valuables and jewellery etc. of the boarders.
  • No females are allowed to visit or stay in boy’s hostel and vice versa.
  • Parents of female students will provide photocopy of their National Identity Cards or copies of National Identity Cards of their nominated two guardians to the college authorities for the purpose of visiting their children at hostel. No other visitor will be allowed to visit the female students.
  • In dealing with any breach of discipline, infringement of the rules and regulations mentioned above, the Principal may decide to order appropriate penalty including apology (verbal or written), fine, temporary suspension from the college, removal from the hostel, removal from the college and rustication after due concurrence of college
  • Academic council and the decision will be conveyed to the Chairman, Board of Governors.
  • In case of voluntary withdrawal from the college admission fee, tuition fee, boarding & lodging fee will not be refundable
  • Parents/guardians are expected to cooperate with the authorities of the college by prevailing upon and motivating their wards not to take part in any antisocial activities.
  • Parents/guardians are expected to participate in the quarterly Teachers/Parents meetings

Note: Infringement of these rules is a serious offence.
